Day 10

School is back! Is anyone as excited as I am? I am just taking one class and by the end I will be a licensed Phlebotomist. I often get weird looks when I tell people that, so if you don't know, a Phlebotomist takes your blood for testing or donation. Good luck to all those who started school today too!

Day 9

Day 8

Day 7

Curtis wanted to blow off the patio and the only blower we have is my hair dryer. He is so cute

Day 6

Favorite picture today. I am seeing that I am leaning toward macro with this challenge, which is interesting. Maybe I should go outside more!

Day 5

This plaque says it all!

Day 4

I taught a lesson on photography for enrichment. I had a blast! Thank you to all who came! I hope I was able to teach you something. I am still working on the presentation to email to you and Deb, I'll email it to you too. Thanks again!

Day 3

Experimenting with extreme macro. This is Captain Moroni's hand holding the title of liberty. This was really fun to try. Go to digital-photography-school.com/blog to watch the video on how to do this. I also highly recommend this site for all your photography learning!

Day 2

I have been wanting to take this picture for a long time now. Curtis and I have been married for two and a half years now and he is a wonderful husband!

Day 1

In honor of my Grandfather on his birthday and a pledge to be more like him I am taking a photo challenge called "A photo a day for a year". The challenge for me begins today, August 16, 2008 and ends August 16, 2009 and by then I hope to be a more talented, knowledgeable and ultimately, more like Grandpa who had an amazing talent to show the world what he saw through photographs and paintings. Although the true beauty and wonder of this Earth can never be captured I think my Grandpa did an amazing job and I hope to do the same. So here is entry number one, day 1!
I thought it was most appropriate to post a picture of my dear Grandpa on his birthday. Yes it is a picture of a picture that was printed on paper. BUT, it took a few shots and some adjustment to white balance to get it right, so it counts! Besides, this is his day and the hole challenge of a photo a day for a year was inspired by him! Happy Birthday! We love and miss you!
